Subway project

subway art A once tired-looking subway was given a bright and colourful makeover by students from Little Lever School, as part of a national campaign to use creativity to help tackle crime.

The project transformed Rose Hill Subway. It stemmed from a national campaign run by the University of Salford’s Youth Design Against Crime (YDAC) Solution Centre and was led by our Percent For Art Service, Bolton Council, and local artist Pete Marsh.

With creative and environmental improvements, the subway looks nicer and is more likely to stay crime free.
