How can you use our service?

You can contact us regarding any insurance matters relating to Bolton at Home.

Please ensure that details of all insurance claims involving Bolton at Home are forwarded to us urgently.

You can also consult with us when, for example, you are taking on work in new service areas (particularly if you are a service manager).

Most staff are already aware of our TP claims. Plus, remember to send any solicitor correspondence to us directly.

How can our tenants use the service?

Tenants can make insurance claims by using the TP insurance form or by contacting a solicitor for injury related claims if they wish to do so.

Home contents insurance

As your landlord, we insure the structure and fittings of your home and you are responsible for insuring all your contents and personal belongings.

It’s a good idea to take out contents insurance to cover your personal belongings against flood, fire, theft and accidental damage.

If something happens to destroy or damage your belongings, it can cost a lot of money to replace these items, some of which may be essential.

Contents insurance can help provide peace of mind should the worst happen.

Changes to Bolton at Home contents insurance scheme for existing policy holders

If you have a home contents insurance policy with Bolton at Home you’ll receive a letter shortly to explain some changes to the way the scheme is run.

From April 2023, your premiums will no longer be collected by Bolton at Home. Administration of the scheme will instead be handled by Wessex Administration Services. There will be no break in your cover, and your insurance will still be provided by Aviva, but the way that you pay your premiums will change.

Wessex Administration Services will write to you directly in the coming weeks with all the information you need to continue with your insurance on the scheme. Please read and keep safe any letters you receive from Wessex Administration Services as they will contain important information relating to your premiums, how they are collected, and what you will need to do if you need to make a claim.

In the meantime please continue to pay your insurance premiums as usual.

If you do not want us to transfer your information to Wessex Administration Services, please advise us by 8 February 2023, and we will arrange for your insurance cover to be cancelled from 2 April 2023. You may wish to make alternative arrangements for contents insurance before that date.
