Employment with suppliers
As part of their contracts with us, we ask our business partners to create job opportunities for our customers. This work programme has so far created 66 paid jobs.
These jobs would have otherwise not existed for people with low confidence, health and wellbeing issues, lack of experience and in need of new skills. A further 10 people have taken a positive step towards employment through training placements.
Business in the Community (BITC) recognised the value of this work and announced us as the national winner of their 2016 Responsible Business Award for 'employment for excluded groups'.
