Free activities for you and the kids during the Easter holidays (2024)

Looking for some free family activities for you and the kids to get involved in during the Easter holidays..? We’ve still a handful of events** planned for next week.

Here are the details:

Tuesday 9 April, from 12pm to 3pm: Easter fun in nature at Red Lane Growing Project (Red Ln, Breightmet, Bolton BL2 5BL)

Expect various outdoor activities, like:

  • Seed Bomb making
  • Bug Hunt
  • S’mores
  • and more..
  • ..with hot chocolate available, too.

This event will also be happening at New Bury UCAN Centre on Wednesday 10 April – see below.

Wednesday 10 April, from 11am to 12.30pm: outdoor activities at ABC Park (ABC Park, Platt Hill Road)

Expect various outdoor activities, like:

  • Flower bomb making
  • Flower planting
  • and more..

Wednesday 10 April, from 12pm to 3pm: Easter fun in nature at New Bury UCAN Centre (New Bury UCAN Centre, 59 George Street, Farnworth, BL4 9PU)

Expect various outdoor activities, like:

  • Seed Bomb making
  • Bug Hunt
  • S’mores
  • and more..
  • ..with hot chocolate available, too.

Sunday 14 April, at 2pm: Willow Tit Bird Survey (Our Backfield, Tonge Fold)

Come and join us to try and spot one of the most endangered birds – the Willow Tit.

This is a Red-Listed species, making it a Bird of Conservation Concern. The Greater Manchester population is estimated at less than 100 pairs, and they’ve been found in North Bolton.
