Find a home
If you’re looking for a new home we can offer you four options. Please see below.
If you'd like to search for homes with Bolton at Home or another social housing provider from Bolton and even the rest of Greater Manchester you'll need to register with Homes for Bolton.
You can visit their website here: Homes for Bolton.
If you need help registering, bidding or searching call Homes for Bolton on 01204 335811.
We've produced a step by step guide:
Below are properties that are available to move into straight away. There is a complete and up to date list of these properties on the Rightmove and Homes for Bolton websites.
You can visit these below:
For more information or to apply for one of these properties contact our team on 01204 329933 or click here to email the team.
To find someone to swap with you can join Homeswapper, a website that allows you to get in touch with other social housing tenants looking to swap properties.
You can search for swaps locally or nationally.
If however, you've already found someone you'd like to swap homes with, and you've viewed each others properties; each household will need to complete a mutual exchange application form available here:Online form for mutual exchange applications
Please be aware that a live www.homesforbolton.org.uk reference number must be provided during the application and all the people that will be moving with you must be on that www.homesforbolton.org.uk application or your exchange will not be processed.
Are you struggling to find a place to live? Are rent and bills too high?
Have you considered sharing a house with a friend?
If you share a home you can split the cost of the rent and other household bills including gas, electicity, water and council tax.
We can offer you a house share option with a joint tenancy and tenancy responsibility.
To register an interest in a house share please contact us on 01204 329933 to register.
All offers of accommodation will be subject to verification checks.
There is a guide available here for tenants and landlords in the private rented sector to help them understand their rights and responsibilities. It provides a checklist and more detailed information on each stage of the process.
We're running the free to attend drop-ins at our UCAN centres around the borough, where you can get advice on your moving options. Please drop-in at your convenience.
