Our project that helps men to talk, connect and find support has been recognised at The Bolton News Business Awards 2025.
Bolton Manbassadors, delivered in partnership with Bolton CVS and local organisations, received the Heart of the Community Award for the difference it’s making in people’s lives.
Our Manbassadors initiative brings together volunteers from local shops, businesses and community settings to act as approachable, everyday points of contact for men who may be struggling with their wellbeing. By offering a listening ear and a signposting to support, they’re helping to tackle isolation, encourage conversations around mental health, and build stronger community connections.
This award is a tribute to the people who’ve stepped forward to become Manbassadors. Their time, care and compassion are at the heart of the project’s success – and a reminder that support is out there if you need it.
Thanks to support from The National Lottery Community Fund, Manbassadors projects are also active in other areas across Greater Manchester. It shows how powerful local people can be in supporting one another and why initiatives like this are so valuable.
As a housing provider, we know that health and housing are closely linked. That’s why we invest in community-led projects like Manbassadors – because supporting wellbeing helps people feel more secure, connected, and able to thrive in their homes and neighbourhoods.
