Live Well Trail — Wednesday 18 March

Live Well Trail — Wednesday 18 March

One day. Many doors open.

Try something local. Find what helps. Feel connected.

On Wednesday 18 March 2026, neighbourhood venues across Breightmet will open their doors for the Live Well Trail — an easy way to explore local activities, meet friendly faces and discover everyday support in places you already know and trust.

Live Well brings practical help into the heart of communities, shaped by what matters to people and supported by joined up local services.

Just drop-in at any venue. Stay for five minutes or explore a few. Whatever suits you.

Part of something bigger

This Trail is part of the Greater Manchester Live Well Spring Festival, a two-week celebration (9–23 March) featuring more than 200 community-led events across the ten boroughs.

The festival showcases how Live Well looks in practice: everyday support, stronger connections, and community power in neighbourhood spaces.

Explore what’s happening across Greater Manchester on the Greater Manchester Combined Authority website, here: https://www.greatermanchester-ca.gov.uk/what-we-do/live-well/live-well-spring-festival

People across Greater Manchester will be using the social media hashtag #GMLiveWell throughout the Festival — it’s an easy way to see what’s happening locally and across the city region.

Why it’s happening

Live Well is Greater Manchester’s commitment to making practical support easy to find and close to home, with a focus on prevention that keeps people well — stopping small issues becoming bigger ones — as well as connection and reducing inequalities.

In Bolton, we’re beginning in the East so residents can help shape how Live Well develops locally.

Where and when

All venues are drop-in:

  • Breightmet Library and Health Centre, from 3pm to 4:30pm
  • Bright Meadows Family Hub, from 10am to 12 noon
  • Deepdale Community Centre, from 1pm to 3pm
  • Elderdale Community Centre, from 10am to 12 noon
  • Red Lane Community Project, from 12 noon to 1pm.

These local community spaces form the heartbeat of a Live Well neighbourhood — trusted places, close to home, where people already connect.

What you’ll get

Expect small, friendly tasters such as:

  • Brew-and-chat tables
  • Light wellbeing activities
  • Kids corners
  • Conversations about money, housing, work, or health
  • Signposting to groups and regular community sessions.

Live Well uses a no-wrong-door approach: wherever you start, someone will listen and help you get to the right support.

What to expect

  • A warm welcome from colleagues, volunteers, and partners
  • Simple access — just drop-in, no booking needed
  • Short walks between venues
  • Inclusive spaces — step-free options where available, quiet areas, and accessible information.

Live Well is human and based on real connections. It starts with what matters to you.
