Debt Awareness Week 2026 - Money support you can trust

If you’re feeling worried about money or debt, you’re not alone. Free, confidential and trustworthy support is available — either through us or from a range of nationally recognised organisations. We’re here to help whenever you’re ready.

Our Money Advice Service is one option. If you want to talk things through, our team can help you understand what might be available in your situation. Last year, we helped customers save or gain £13.1 million through money advice and support, and everything we do is confidential and judgement-free.

If you want to speak with us directly, you can call 01204 328000, email: moneyadviceteam@boltonathome.org.uk, or visit our website for more information.

If someone is pressuring you to repay money, you can speak to us privately. We’ll listen and help you get the specialist support you need.

There are also well-known national organisations that many people use for clear guidance, free tools and confidential advice:

·        StepChange: 24/7 online debt advice, debt calculator and personalised plans - https://www.stepchange.org/

·        National Debtline: Free, confidential advice with phone and webchat support - https://nationaldebtline.org/

·        Citizens Advice: Free online chat with trained advisors, Monday to Saturday - https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/debt-and-money/

·        PayPlan: Free debt advice and debt management support - https://www.payplan.com/

·        GOV.UK (Debt Advice): Official guidance and tools to help you check your options - https://www.gov.uk/debt-advice

Whichever route you choose — starting with us or exploring other support first — you’ll find clear, trusted help when you need it.
