If you’re struggling to make ends meet or just want to be more prepared for rising living costs as we approach the winter, please drop-in to one of two free events at Bolton’s Albert Halls, Victoria Square, from 9.30am to 1.30pm on Saturday 5 November and Wednesday 9 November.
The first hour of each session is set aside for people who require a quieter time at the event, for example those with autism, learning disabilities or sensory and communication disorders who’d like to attend with their families.
We’ll be there with Bolton Council and a number of other local organisations and charities to guide you on ways to make your money go further and give you information about support services available to you.
As well as tips and free accessories to help save money at home, there’ll be cooking on a budget demonstrations and some raffle prizes.
These events will also be important in learning more about how the cost of living is affecting local people, to understand what additional support might be needed.
Help for winter
We offer support, advice, and activities if you need some help coping with food and energy costs, and the chilly weather ahead.
Get a directory of information and contact details here: www.boltonathome.org.uk/cost-of-living
It starts with money and energy advice, warm spaces (with social activities and digital support), food pantries for low cost shopping, and employment support.
We’ll continue to add further information on support that’s available and how we can all prepare for this winter over the coming days and weeks.
