Time on your hands?

The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a way to learn new things, make friends and have fun if you’re over 55 and no longer in fulltime work.

The Bolton branch is thriving with a wide range of interest groups, from archaeology to poetry, gardening to scrabble and languages to film. Groups are hosted in a variety of locations across Bolton.

There’s an annual membership fee of £20 and the interest groups are £1 a session, including refreshments.

If you’re interested in joining, have a look at the website to see what’s on offer. Visit www.u3asites.org.ukclick on ‘Members’ and you’ll find Bolton under the Greater Manchester Network. Or phone membership secretary Ann Waring for more information on 01204 492343.

You’ll be guaranteed a warm welcome.
