It’s the first UCAN Centre in Bolton to have a Storehouse pantry integrated inside, following the huge success of the Storehouse Pantry at The Hope Centre in Johnson Fold.

Dave Bagley, Chief Executive of Urban Outreach said “It’s a great pleasure see the opening of this today and I hope that with the help of the staff and community, it will make a real difference in the area".

This is now the second Storehouse Pantry within Bolton and is a not-for-profit partnership allowing local residents to access food and other household essentials at a low cost.

Cllr Noel Spencer voiced his support “This is a fantastic facility to have within the UCAN Centre and is crucial to support the community within New Bury".

New Bury UCAN Centre is one of six UCAN Centre’s that we run in Bolton. They offer a wide range of support and services such as IT support, work clubs, money advice skills and much more. You can find your nearest UCAN Centre by visiting

The Pantry will be signing up new members on Thursday 25 May where customers can come and join. For more information about the Storehouse Pantry, please call 01204 329786.
