Care cash boost

Care cash boost

Our sweet-toothed employees have raised £5,500 for Bolton Hospice.

The money for the hospice was raised from office tuck shops, in sales of snacks donated by colleagues.

Julie Fallows, Project Manager, and Shirley Ainscow, Payroll Manager, also help to run the tuck shops.

Shirley Ainscow said: “We hav always been a keen supporter of Bolton Hospice, which provides incredible care for people and helps so many families across Bolton. “Many of our staff have been touched by what they do and we’re happy to help them in any way that we can.”

Our donation could help towards 344 hours of nursing care, 53 hospice at home nurse visits, all patients’ meals for 45 days, or a whole year’s amount of oxygen for patients.

Alice Atkinson, Director of Income Generation and Communications at Bolton Hospice, added: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone at Bolton at Home who has been involved in raising such a fantastic sum for Bolton Hospice. This wonderful donation will go a long way to helping us provide expert, personalised, compassionate care for local patients and their families, when they need it most. We are only able to provide our care thanks to the generosity of our local community, so we really are truly grateful for your support.”
