Bring a smile to 2,000 children through the Big Bolton and Bury Toy Appeal

We’re again joining forces with Bolton Lions, BWFC, Urban Outreach, Bolton Lads & Girls Club, The Bolton News, Asda and Middlebrook, to collect and distribute toys for local children this Christmas.

The official launch takes place at Middlebrook’s Christmas lights switch-on tomorrow afternoon.

Tower FM has joined the campaign this year and will promote the appeal across Bolton and Bury over the next six weeks. You can follow special reports and A Christmas Carol-esque story on Tower’s radio and website channels.

Last year, 1,500 children in Bolton received toys from the appeal. This year, we’re aiming to reach 2,000. Each child receives five or six toys or gifts, so we need to collect over 10,000 items. There tends to be a shortage for teenagers, so please bear that in mind if you’re able to contribute.

Many retailers are currently offering ‘3 for 2’ deals and discounts on toys and gifts. Be sure to take advantage.
