Estate Rangers Gardening Service
All our UCAN centres worked with the Mojo Trust to deliver an Estate Rangers Gardening Service for local areas; providing work experience, training and qualifications for people out of work.
Local, unemployed residents with an interest in gardening and landscaping got to work on gardens for customers needing help to maintain them. They also improved open spaces and communal areas on estates, and contributed to food growing sites.
Estate Rangers had the opportunity to leave the 13 week programme with a national vocational qualification (NVQ) in horticulture to strengthen their employment prospects.
