See yourself (or someone else) as open-minded, empathetic, a people person, and up for a challenge?

Got a few hours a week to spare? Have a think about whether you’d be up for volunteering as a Mediator in our Resolve service.

You’ll be working alongside our colleagues to support neighbours to resolve disputes and conflicts- and full training will be provided.

With previous volunteer Mediators moving onto careers in the Police, housing, counselling, local government, and social work- you'll be set to develop new and existing skills, like:

  • teamwork (our Mediators always work in pairs),
  • solving problems and conflicts,
  • working flexibly to adapt to customers’ needs,
  • techniques to discuss disputes, identify feelings and move things forward,
  • and more.

If you’re still reading- it's likely you’re open minded, empathetic, a people person, and up for a challenge.

So, if you’d like to get involved, email resolve@boltonathome.org.uk, or call:

  • Cat Woodall-Crook on: 07789 031 622
  • Zandra Morris-Richards on: 07768 144 498

What does our Resolve service do?

Sometimes, people need help to deal with difficulties with neighbours- and this is where our Resolve team comes in.

Our mediators don’t take sides, judge, or advise. They identify key problems and how they affect those involved, helping neighbours in dispute to better understand each other. Mediators then help neighbours reach written agreements to end these disputes.
