Next in our series of quick home safety tips: extension leads (or power strips). These can be handy, but you should always avoid overloading sockets or linking power strips together.
Signs of an overloaded socket include sparks, scorch marks, or a smell of hot plastic.
Remember: distribute your electrical load evenly across sockets to prevent overheating and minimise the risk of fire.

Since 12 January 2024, we’ve been closing the office on Fridays because not many people were visiting us on that day. This has helped us save money to invest more in your homes and keep our services running smoothly. This change has worked well, so we’ve decided to keep the Friday closure permanent. This means our Valley House office, including reception, will now be closed every Friday. Our services will still be running, please don’t worry, we’ll just be working from other places.
