Cash boost for Bolton Hospice

Cash boost for Bolton Hospice

Bolton at Home employees have raised £2,350 for Bolton Hospice through our own ‘tuck shop’.

Throughout the year, employees have given donations for healthy snacks and sweet treats provided by colleagues.

We visited the hospice to hand over the donations made throughout 2019.

Shirley Ainscow, our payroll advisor, said: “It’s great to see our staff raising money for important causes. The snack donations idea is something we’ve been doing for a few years now and our colleagues have once again been very generous in supporting it.”

Jon Lord, our group chief executive, added: “We’re a community organisation with socially-minded staff, who support various charities and good causes throughout the year. Many of us have been touched personally by the work of Bolton Hospice, so we’re proud to hand over this latest donation to the hospice team.”

Kathryn Willett, corporate and community fundraiser for Bolton Hospice, said: “As an independent charity, Bolton Hospice needs £4m per year through donations, fundraising and gifts in wills to continue providing free care and support. Donations like this are vital to supporting our work and we thank Bolton at Home for their continued support.”
