BSCA recognised with highest award for a local volunteer group

Many congratulations to all staff, volunteers and supporters involved with Bolton Solidarity Community Association, including our Board Member and Operations Committee Member Ibrahim Ismail. BSCA has been recognised for its contribution to communities in Bolton, receiving The Queens Award for Voluntary Service.

BSCA is a self-help voluntary organisation that strives to tackle and reduce the problems facing the new emerging communities in Bolton. The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities.

Ibby, who is Development Manager of BSCA, said: “This achievement is a recognition of 17 years of volunteers and staff working really hard to make Bolton that little brighter for all. I am immensely proud of BSCA but want to say this is only the beginning and if any organisations want to work with us, please do.”

BSCA will receive a certificate signed by The Queen and an exclusive commemorative crystal, presented by Her Majesty’s representative in Greater Manchester, Lord Lieutenant Warren J. Smith.
