Vulnerable customers
If you’re a vulnerable customer, then Bolton’s supported housing service can give you advice and support on accessing and maintaining housing which is suitable for you.
The support you receive may be determined by the sort of property you live in but it is available to residents including those who in privately rented, registered social landlord’s, Bolton at Home properties, owner occupied, or hostel accommodation.
If you are referred to the supported housing team, then we’ll assess your application and if successful we’ll offer you an appointment to discuss your personal needs, situation and support requirements.
For more information contact our tenancy support and sustainment service through your local neighbourhood office.
Email: supportedhousing@boltonathome.org.uk
Are you struggling to maintain your tenancy or feel you may do so in the future?
There is a dedicated Tenancy support and sustainment team in each of our neighbourhood areas.
If you are between 16 and 25 and starting your first tenancy with us, if you or your partner has previously experienced problems or are likely to do so or if you have significant personal support needs and your tenancy is based on the condition you receive our service you can contact your local team.
You can find more information and contact details for your local team on our Tenancy Sustainment page.

Elderly, frail or disabled customers
We have a team who give advice and support on how to make properties suitable for the disabled and how to access grants to achieve this. The service helps frail, elderly and disabled people to continue live independently in their own home. This assistance is provided for customers who live in either public or private housing.
Once you've sent in your request, we’ll send you information and an application pack. Once we’ve received your enquiry in writing, we’ll call you to arrange an assessment visit. How fast this happens will depend on what priority your application is given. All these details are outlined in the information pack. Following the assessment visit, you’ll know within 6 months if your grant application has been approved.
