What to expect of your new home
Before you move into your home, our repair and maintenance team make sure that it meets the agreed lettable standard. This might mean doing work to:
- The external fabric of the building
- The internal fabric and fittings of the building
- The cleanliness of the building
- The garden and external areas within the boundaries of the property
Once we offer a home, we aim to make sure that any necessary work is completed within 21 days of the property becoming vacant. Of course, there may be occasions when major work is required such as rewiring ,excessive plastering or renewal of kitchen and bathrooms . If this is necessary then we’ll keep everyone informed and ensure any delays are minimised.
To minimise the wait for your property we may carry out some works once you have moved in but you will be fully informed regarding what repairs these might be and the timescales for completion.
During the sign up and moving in period you will be fully supported by one of our void liaison team who will support you with any repair related issues.
