We believe that good health and safety management is not an additional cost incurred to fulfil a legal obligation. It’s a valuable investment in people and process – it not only protects individuals from pain and distress but also saves money and allows operations to run without interruption.
All our partners benefit from compliance with best practice when it comes to safety at work. As an organisation, our obligations are threefold:

Health and safety training
Our new starter induction programme includes job-specific training in health and safety and at any time employees can extend or refresh their skills by attending one of our in-house courses.
Understanding and managing risk
So that potential risks can be identified, discussed and minimised, all of our sites are regularly assessed. We conduct safety and quality audits twice a year and constantly monitor our environmental footprint. Additional audits occur following an incident or where there has been a change to process, equipment or personnel.
Monitoring progress and performance
Our IT systems carry records of everything we do – this helps us to identify and address gaps in our health and safety procedures.
Motivating individuals
It's important we make sure everyone is motivated to keep up the pace – and good communication is vital. We hold regular events that focus solely on health and safety and there are regular site visits by senior management to discuss health and safety issues. We also recognise the efforts of individuals and remind everyone of their responsibilities via our in-house magazine.
