Adding someone to a tenancy

If more people are living in your household than stated in your tenancy agreement, we will write and ask you to reduce the number of people in your property.

If you want someone to stay who wasn’t part of your household when you moved in, you’ll need to get our permission in writing first. This includes relatives, children, friends and guests. We won’t unreasonably refuse permission.

Whilst we cannot legally add additional people to your tenancy agreement we are able to make amendments to your name, for example if you have a name change through marriage.

Contact your housing team for more details.
