Centurions celebrate

Not one, but two of our customers have been celebrating their 100th birthday over the bank holiday weekend.
Agnes Wright, from Brownlow Way, and Florence Sinker, from Halliwell, each brought up their marvellous milestone with a family party, visit from the Mayor and Mayoress of Bolton and, of course, a special card from the Queen.
Florence was the first to reach 100, with her birthday on Sunday, Agnes was born just one day later.
Agnes told us:  “I had a lovely surprise party with a lot of my friends and family, including my five year-old great granddaughter who helped me to open my presents.  I don’t have a secret to reaching my age, I just like to think I’ve always done nice things for others.” 
Fellow Boltonian and proud grandparent of six, Florence said: “It was lovely to celebrate with my family and the Mayor and Mayoress were very nice.”
