    BEST runs from our Deane UCAN Centre to offer personalised support for people taking their first steps into employment.

    As part of their contracts with us, we ask our business partners to create job opportunities for our customers. This work programme has so far created 66 paid jobs.

    All our UCAN centres worked with the Mojo Trust to deliver an Estate Rangers Gardening Service for local areas; providing work experience, training and qualifications for people out of work.

  9. United for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence

    Women’s groups across our neighbourhoods created powerful artwork to share their experiences of gender violence and raise awareness of the 150 women killed in the UK each year. They did this to support 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence, the annual international campaign to end violence against women and girls around the world.

    The Wonder Woman Group brings together women to develop skills through fun and learning. They meet every Tuesday from 1pm-3pm at the Greenway Centre in Hall i ’th’ Wood.
