Stronger together

Stronger together

Congratulations to our colleagues at Hoot credit union, Bolton Money Skills and Bolton Council’s Local Welfare Provision. They've won 'best partnership' at this year's annual Institute of Money Advisers Awards, for their joint antipoverty initiatives to help Bolton's financially excluded community.

The accolade recognises a strong programme of money advice, financial education and affordable credit facilities. Together, our partners have helped many people get back on their feet after a financial crisis and supported them to be able to manage their own finances.

Steve Bottrill, Chair of Hoot, said “We are proud of this recognition for our partnership work and our contribution to Bolton’s antipoverty initiatives. We work closely with partners on a number of projects aimed at delivering our ethical values in the community. Having also just achieved the Fairbanking Mark for our loans, the credit union is gaining more and more recognition as the responsible alternative for savings and loans in the community.”
