16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international initiative to end violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day. It calls on all people in all parts of world to take action in their communities, play their part and stand up against violence against women and girls. More than 3,700 organisations across 164 countries participate in the annual 16 Days campaign, including the United Nations and the World Health Organisation.

We have been supporting our community groups to tell their stories, to help raise awareness of domestic violence and to encourage other women experiencing domestic abuse to reach out and seek help. During the 16 Days of Activism campaign we will be sharing some of those stories in the form of a daily podcast.
