Mandy is a teacher by profession and although now works for a firm of
Solicitors, she still does some voluntary teaching.
Other voluntary work includes working with Bolton Community Network on the
World of Food Event, Bolton Interfaith and CAFOD; Mandy is also a member of
the African Community Association and serves as a resident member on the
Great Lever Neighbourhood Management Board.
Mandy has been a tenant and a Neighbourhood Panel member and has seen the
positive impact that customer involvement in decision making can have on
service provision and delivery.
During her time on the Sub Group Mandy would like to see Bolton at Home
achieve the National Equality Standard Level 5; this will ensure that there
is equality in service provision to all sections of the community.
Mandy says her favourite food is Chambo (it’s a Malawian fish dish) but she
is also quite partial to a Lancashire Hot Pot. Mandy loves reading,
particularly autobiographies, and her favourite holiday destination is the
Caribbean and going on Safari.
