Madeleine is a retired primary head teacher who says after 36 years
teaching she has covered and dealt with most experiences in life.
As a Member of the Sub Group Madeleine would like to achieve active
community involvement in the management of neighbourhoods and the raising of
wider community confidence; she lists her skills as listening, observing,
tenacity, common sense, adaptability and leadership.
Her voluntary work includes involvement in private sector housing, the
Haulgh Housing Steering Group and Community Cohesion Steering Group, Haulgh
in Bloom, Friends of Bridgeman Park and a member of the Forum on
Prostitution.
In her spare time Madeleine enjoys gardening, reading and dogs.
Madeleine’s favourite food is any seafood and she likes to read historical
novels, murder mystery and cookery books. Favourite holiday destination is
anywhere to relax, enjoy the countryside or beach combing but sun not
essential.
