Linda is a full time Councillor for Halliwell Ward and Deputy Leader of
the Labour Group, with a wide knowledge of housing issues in Bolton.
Her experiences extend to Vice Chair of Housing for 4 years, voluntarily
running a pre school playgroup supporting approximately 50 children and
their families for 10 years, Chair of Governors of 2 primary schools for 15
and 10 years, former Chair and currently Vice Chair of Bolton Accommodation
Support and Employment project, Linda is also Chair of BARLO as a Council
representative.
Through her time on the Board, Linda would like to see a major improvement
in the housing stock and in Bolton’s residents’ lives.
In her spare time (of which she says there isn’t much), Linda enjoys
spending quality time with her family, reading, gardening, walking and
holidaying, of which her favourite destinations are Portugal and the
Canaries.
Linda’s favourite foods are Italian and Chinese and her favourite book is
Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
