Between 1992 and 2003 Julie worked as a Community Care Worker for the
National Health Service, Social Services and private sector; both voluntary
and paid. Julie is also a British Red Cross voluntary First Aider and is
experienced in caring for persons with special needs, the elderly and people
from all backgrounds.
Julie brings to the Sub Group good verbal and listening skills, valuing
diversity and equal opportunities, social housing problems, being a tenant,
listening to other tenants’ needs and management and delegation skills both
through work and home life.
Julie is a member of BATRA Central and is also involved in the Kearsley
Community Project. During her time with Bolton at Home Julie would like to
gain a better understanding of tenant and social issues.
A great reader of historical and factual books and literature, Julie lists
her favourite foods as Indian and Chinese (anything other than English) and
her favourite holiday destination is the Caribbean.
