Janine Byrne

Janine has qualifications in childcare and currently works as a Play Worker/Childcare provider and, on a voluntary basis, runs a tots group in Kearsley.

During her time on Bolton at Home’s Equality and Diversity Sub Group Janine would like to learn more about issues on Bolton at Home’s estates and more about equality and diversity issues. Janine brings experience from being both a tenant and a former homeowner.

Janine says that by having lived in various diverse areas in England and 10 years in America has made her life more colourful and she has benefited from having so many friends from such different races and cultures.

A member of her Neighbourhood Panel Janine is also involved in voluntary work with youth groups.

Her favourite food is peanut butter and chocolate cheesecake and her favourite holiday destination is New York, New York (so good they named it twice). An avid reader the best two books Janine has read are ‘Love on the Dole’ by Walter Greenwood and ‘Kes’ by Barry Hines.

Janine also loves listening to a wide range of music from Etta James and Enigma to Ozzy Osbourne (who rocks), watching ballet, camping and walking.
