Jim is now retired, however, spent 10 years in the Army service, giving
him good self discipline and leadership skills, and a subsequent 30 years in
sales dealing with small shops and wholesalers giving him excellent
presentation and organisational skills.
Having lived in public sector housing for a good number of years, Jim feels
he has a huge experience of council estates, including the hopes,
aspirations and deep concerns of tenants.
During his time on the Board, Jim would like to be
instrumental in seeing more customers involved in managing their estates,
and has indicated his desire to concentrate all his efforts on Bolton at
Home.
In his spare time, Jim enjoys a good workout at the gym, is an avid
supporter of the Wanderers, regularly attends the theatre with his wife,
particularly musicals, and enjoys a visit to his local pub at weekends to
meet friends.
Jim describes his favourite food as any of his wife’s superb dishes and
enjoys publications by Andy MacNabb or Chris Ryan.
Jim’s favourite holiday destination is definitely the Greek islands,
although he does harbour a strong ambition to travel around the USA.
When asked what additional information he would like to share about himself,
he told us he was a good listener.
