Hilary brings 32 years experience in Local Authority Housing Departments
to the Board, including 20 years in Bolton and 7 as Director in Rochdale – a
successful Round 1 ALMO. She was also involved in setting up Fortalice, the
Women’s Refuge and is currently a member of its Management Committee. She
has strong management skills and a wide knowledge and understanding of
regional housing and related issues.
During her remaining time on the Board, Hilary would like to see community
ownership and a new shape for Bolton at Home that will bring the resources
we need to continue investment, develop services and transform our estates.
Hilary is Honorary Professor of Housing at Salford University.
During her spare time Hilary enjoys reading, walking, gardening, spending
time with friends and travelling.
