Newly appointed as Chair of the Regeneration Sub Group and living outside
the borough, David brings to the group his knowledge of housing issues,
understanding of and skills in regeneration, and experience in the public,
private and voluntary sectors.
Having professional qualifications in housing (Fellow of the Chartered
Institute of Housing) and town planning (member of the Royal Town Planning
Institute), David is currently an Area Director for the Government’s
Regeneration Agency.
Through his time on the Sub Group, David would like to support the
organisation in developing its regeneration potential, and particularly how
it contributes to housing renewal.
With a love for the countryside and people, David’s favourite holiday
destination is Canada, and his favourite food is Thai.
He loved to read ‘Kes’ as a boy; it had a great relationship between a boy
and a kestrel. More recently, Death and Life of Great American Cities by
Jane Jacobs.
