Bolton at Home’s community alarm service, Careline, has been recognised for delivering a high standard of customer service across the borough.

Careline allows customers to call for help at the touch of a button in and around their home, 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, and is supported by a mobile response team.

The service is the first community alarm service in the country to be accredited the new national Telecare Services Association award for the way in which customer calls are handled.

Since April 2005, Careline has taken more than 57,000 calls from customers, answering over 95% within 30 seconds. This exceeds the 80% standard set by the Telecare Services Association.

Having a reliable community alarm service plays an important role in providing people with confidence to live at home independently, knowing help is at hand if needed.”
