The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Frank White and Mayoress, Mrs Eileen White joined residents at Bolton at Home’s Lever Gardens sheltered housing in Little Lever on Friday 3rd June for a VE celebration party.
Organised by the Lever Gardens Social Club, residents, and their friends and families, took part in a wartime quiz, sing-along, and some attended in forties’ style dress.
Money raised from the day is to be donated to The Royal British Legion.
Theresa Schofield, Chairperson of Lever Gardens Social Club, said: “The atmosphere has been great, everyone has enjoyed themselves and it will raise money for a good cause.”
