Nuisance neighbour evicted

20-MAR-07

A tenant in Little Lever who brought misery to his neighbours was evicted last week.

Bolton at Home took action against a 39-year-old man of Booth Road, following anti-social behaviour which included repeated noise nuisance, verbal abuse and neighbour intimidation.

Despite receiving repeated warnings to improve his behaviour, the situation did not improve and in February, a judge at Bolton County Court awarded Bolton at Home possession of the property.

Six witnesses gave evidence in court about the man’s conduct.

Bailiffs and representatives from Bolton at Home served a warrant for eviction on Friday 16 March.

Noel Spencer MBE, Chair of Bolton at Home, said: “We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour of any kind. We are also committed to support residents who have suffered from anti-social behaviour. More witnesses coming forward will enable us to tackle the offenders more effectively.”
