Bolton at Home hosted their annual Garden Competition Awards Ceremony at Bolton Parish Church Hall, and invited 16 prize winners.
Competition categories featured; Best Garden, Most Improved Garden, Communal Garden and Plants in Pots, and entries were judged by Noel Spencer, Chair of Bolton at Home.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Frank White and Mayoress, Mrs Eileen White, were there to congratulate the winners of these prestigious categories.
Anthony Parkinson from Farnworth, was awarded Best Garden, and was presented with the Housing Corporation Gardening Cup, originally commissioned in 1929. Mr Parkinson said; “I am delighted to have won this award, especially at the first time of entering the competition.”
Noel Spencer, Chair of Bolton at Home said: “Every year we receive high quality entries from local residents for all the Garden Competition categories. It is great to hold an event where we can meet and congratulate all the prize winners.”
