Decent homes standard on target to be met by 2008

Bolton at Home, Bolton Council’s Arms Length Management Organisation, responsible for the delivery of the Housing Strategy to public and private sector housing reports impressive end of year performance figures for the Capital Improvement Programme in the Public Sector.

In the financial year from April 2004 to March 2005, Bolton at Home met its challenging spending target of £49.78 million and is on target to spend the full £250 million by 2008.

Over 3,000 customers now have new heating systems, around 1,700 customers have received kitchen and bathroom improvements and around 3,600 homes have benefited from external improvements including roof repairs, painting and new doors.

Feedback from customers receiving the service has been very positive, with customer satisfaction standing at 90 percent in all areas.
