Hundreds of tenants and residents from
across Bolton took part in Bolton at Home’s annual Customer Involvement
Conference recently.
A celebration of customer involvement within Bolton at Home, the event at
the Reebok Stadium gave customers an opportunity to share ideas and take
away new skills and knowledge to benefit their local communities.
Visitors included representatives from Bolton at Home’s neighbourhood and
local community panels, residents associations, customer inspectors and
community groups.
Sixteen interactive and informative workshops included:
Noel Spencer, Chair of Bolton at Home,
said: “This event is interesting and enjoyable as it celebrates and promotes
the valuable work that customers do to make a real difference in their local
communities.”
Margaret Hannis, from Horwich, said: “The workshops are absolutely
brilliant. They provide a great way of learning how we, as customers, can
influence the services that we receive. They are fun and should inspire more
customers to get involved.”
Anne Percival, from Firwood and Moorfield Residents Association in Tonge
Moor, added: “It is amazing to see what can be done when communities work
together. We will go back to our local areas with the knowledge and ideas to
build stronger communities.”
