An organisation which is made up of tenants and residents associations from
across Bolton is the first of its kind to be awarded charity status.
The Bolton Affiliation of Tenants and Residents Associations (BATRA) is the
independent, community led voice for both public and private sector housing
in Bolton.
Achieving charity status recognises BATRA’s work to represent and improve
the quality of life for local communities across the borough by working
towards improvements in housing, crime, and the environment.
Richard Smallman, Chief Executive of BATRA, said: “This is a great
achievement for BATRA. It isn’t easy to achieve charity status, but we have
been able to provide real evidence of how our work benefits communities
across Bolton.”
