Winners of Bolton at Home’s 2006 Apprentice Awards recently celebrated their success at a ceremony held at Bolton Town Hall.

The event recognised 17 apprentices who have successfully completed their apprenticeships, together with the most outstanding performers from each year.

Noel Spencer, Chair of Bolton at Home, and guest speaker Paul Fletcher presented the awards and prizes to apprentices who have shown commendable customer care, quality of work and willingness to learn.

Noel Spencer, Chair of Bolton at Home, said: “We take considerable pride in acknowledging and recognising our apprentices. They apply themselves with great commitment and make a real contribution to housing and environmental improvements across the borough.”

Matthew Taylor was named overall apprentice of the year and said: “My apprenticeship has helped me gain new skills and it has boosted my confidence. I am delighted to have won this award and my family are very proud of me.”
