Calling radio wannabees in Hall i'th'Wood

04-OCT-07

Residents in Hall i’th’ Wood are invited to get involved in running their own community radio station.

Local volunteers are now needed to be radio presenters and producers in preparation for Hall i’th’ Wood FM, which is set to hit the airwaves in December.

The event will be a four-day, 24-hour, radio broadcast, including a showcase event open to the public.

Hall i’th’ Wood FM is a joint project, managed by Bolton at Home and funded by Bolton Council.

Setting up a community radio station in Hall i’th’ Wood follows on from the success of Washacre FM, broadcast from the John Holt Centre in Westhoughton, in July. This event brought hundreds of people together from the local community.

Anyone interested in taking part in Hall i’th’ Wood FM should contact Danielle Porter at Bolton at Home, on 01204 335572, or via email to danielle.porter@boltonathome.org.uk.
