Bolton at Home gets customers involved

23-DEC-05

Tenants and residents from across Bolton took part in Bolton at Home’s annual Customer Involvement Conference at the Reebok Stadium.

A celebration of customer involvement within Bolton at Home, the event provided opportunity for customers to develop new skills and gain knowledge on regeneration methods and sources of funding.

Visitors, including representatives from Residents Associations, Local Community Panels, Customer Inspectors, Neighbourhood Panels, BATRA and private sector customers, were able to participate in a wide range of informative and interactive workshops.

Fifteen workshops were available and included:

Noel Spencer, Chair of Bolton at Home said: “The Customer Involvement Conference is interesting, enjoyable, and aims to have a lasting effect. Customers can take away new skills and knowledge gained from the day back to, the benefit of, their local community groups.”

Attending a workshop which looked at Bolton at Home’s spending, Ann Bennett from New Bury, said: “It is pleasing to be able to express opinion on where customers think money should be spent. The conference provides a great feeling of customer involvement in Bolton at Home’s activities.”

Through the use of small group workshops, the conference was able to provide greater opportunity for tenants and residents to work more closely together.

Caroline Woods, member of Tonge Moor Residents Association, added: “Information from a day like this can be taken a long way. We can go back with more ideas for our local community and make it stronger.”
