A newly formed group, which will oversee Bolton at Home’s performance as it delivers housing and regeneration services across the borough, has kicked off in celebratory style, with one of its members celebrating his 90th birthday.
At the first meeting of Bolton at Home’s Performance Sub Group in October, a special birthday lunch was held for Sub Group Member Norman Spencer. Mr Spencer, from Kearsley, was first appointed as a Tenant Representative to Bolton at Home’s South Area Board in September 2003.
The Area Boards have recently been rescinded as Bolton at Home’s activities are generally carried out borough wide, or address needs and priorities of local communities and neighbourhoods. This has reduced the need for separate Area Boards, and the opportunity has been taken to extend governance through several specialist sub groups, which also include Regeneration, Customer Involvement, and Equality and Diversity.
Noel Spencer, Chair of Bolton at Home,
said: “We would like to congratulate Norman on his special birthday, and thank
all Sub Group Members for their contribution to the ongoing delivery of Bolton
at Home’s 3 Star Excellent services. It is greatly appreciated.”
