Private Sector Anti-Social Behaviour

Did you know?

Bolton at Home now tackles anti-social behaviour in the private sector, as part of improving quality of life for all communities across the borough.

The officers currently work in Great Lever, Queens Park, Tonge Fold and the Haulgh and advise private sector tenants on their own rights and responsibilities around antisocial behaviour. The officers train landlords in how to deal with tenants who behave antisocially and how to reduce the risk of re-housing problem tenants.

Action can be taken against offenders of anti-social behaviour using Acceptable Contracts (ABCs), Antisocial Behaviour orders’ (ASBOs) and injunctions. All these measures help communities live in a peaceful environment. Legal action can now be taken against private landlords who do not deal with anti-social tenants.
