Terms and Conditions

1. To qualify for Plum you need to be a secure tenant and must:

    a. have a clear rent account for the period of 8 weeks prior to the date of application, or

    b. maintain any agreement, to pay off debts owed to Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council or Bolton at Home for a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks and to maintain this agreement until the debt is cleared. This applies to rent arrears and other debts owed including rechargeable repairs and court costs. If legal action has been taken in relation to any debts you will not be eligible for the scheme.

    c. not be in breach of the tenancy agreement, e.g. have no outstanding complaints regarding Anti Social Behaviour or the condition of your property or garden, this includes yourself, partner or other members of your household or visitors to your home.

2. Customers must meet the qualification criteria to join Plum and will be suspended if they no longer qualify.

3. Customers must apply to join the scheme using the Plum application form.

4. Only one Plum card will be issued per household and the holder must be a residential tenant of Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council.

5. We reserve the right to change the terms, conditions and membership criteria of the scheme. Notice of any changes will be published in the tenants’ magazine.
We reserve the right to stop running the Plum scheme at any time and customers will be notified of this by letter.

6. We reserve the right to change the rewards on offer and/or the contractors
supplying them at any time.

7. We will not be responsible or liable for any product or service provided by a third party supplier, the provision of which shall be subject to that supplier’s terms and conditions.

8. Members can get up to date terms and conditions by requesting a copy of
the Plum policy.

9. Information about your membership of Plum will be held by Bolton at Home as part of the existing tenancy record, and will be handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act (1998). This information will only be used for the purposes of administering the Plum scheme and will not be passed to third parties or suppliers, including MB Solutions (Holdings) Ltd, which runs the Countdown discount card scheme.

Members should note that in order to access certain offers – for example by telephone or internet - they may be required to provide their personal details to MB Solutions (Holdings) Ltd or to third party suppliers. In these circumstances the proper handling of your personal information is the responsibility of those companies, and not Bolton at Home. Plum members should check the Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions of suppliers to ensure that they are aware of how their personal information will be used.
