How to report a repair

Under your tenancy agreement you have a duty report repairs, you should contact Bolton at Home as soon as possible.

You can report a repair by phone, online, in person or by writing to us.

Emergencies

If you smell gas or have fumes escaping you must always telephone the National Gas Emergency Number: 0800 111 999.

If your repair is an emergency i.e. lives, health or property is at risk, you must always telephone the Emergency Repair Line on: 01204 338200. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.


This number covers the whole borough, so use it wherever you live. This is not a 999 emergency service; however if you require information regarding police, fire or the NHS click on the links below.

You must only use the emergency service for genuine cases. You will be charged if you call out the service and it is not an emergency. (Link to rechargeable repairs.)

Reporting a repair online

NEVER USE THIS ONLINE SERVICE TO REPORT AN EMERGENCY REPAIR, ALWAYS USE THE REPAIRS LINE: 01204 338200.

Using Bolton at Home's online repairs reporting system, you can report a repair at any time using the easy to follow diagrams. The system helps to identify the problem and will provide you with advice along the way.

All requests will be verified before they are processed. It is therefore important that you provide us with all the appropriate information including a daytime telephone number as we may need to contact you to arrange a repair appointment.

Once your repair has been processed you will receive notification through the post.
