Improvements to private sector properties and areas within Bolton is based mainly within targeted areas. Access to grant assistance is discretionary and is dealt with by Bolton at Home in line with the Council's Private Sector Renewal Policy. You can access a summary version of the policy by clicking on the link under useful links.

Information on the Policy, current targeted areas and programmes within those areas can be obtained from Blackburn Road Housing Office.

Areas targeted at present are within the Tonge, Campbell Street, Queens Park and Great Lever Renewal Areas.

Outside of targeted areas, assistance will ordinarily only be considered if the following criteria is met:
