Applying for Global Grants

Please note that the European Social Fund’s Global Grants funding has now ceased. This website will be updated with information on the next similar type of funding from the ESF in due course. For further information and advice please contact us.

The application process

Each application will be scored on the basis of the information provided on the application form only. There is a 3 step process which consists of application form, scoring and approvals.

Each process is kept separate from the other and no one person involved in one element of the process may be involved in another. We aim to consult representatives from local communities and target groups when developing the selection process. Each application will be scored by at least 2 people one of whom will be an external panel member.

Please note the maximum amount of any one grant awarded is £6,000 and out of this amount no more than £1000 can be used for capital costs i.e. purchase of laptops, storage cupboards etc.

Record keeping

All successful applicants must sign a contract which includes a budget for the activities to be funded by the grant.

Appeals process

If you have been unsuccessful in your application there is a process for appeal. Please contact 01204 335439 to discuss this further.
